Jews4BlackLives: Bronx Vigil & Action

We are building up the pressure for police accountability! For the third week, we will be hosting a vigil and action in the Bronx (Exact location TBD — check back here for updates) led by the JFREJ Jews of Color Caucus. Two weeks ago, JFREJ's Jews of Color Caucus and our Campaign For Police Accountability announced a month of Jews4BlackLives actions. In the Three Weeks leading to Tisha B'av we will mourn those lost to police violence around the country and express our outrage over attempts to stall police reform in New York City. Each week's action will be in a different location. Hundreds turned out for our first two actions but we need you to ramp up the pressure! Show up for racial justice this Thursday and stay tuned for the next week. What to expect: Singing, chanting, candles, various speakers Possibly some walking at a slow-to-medium pace A police presence but no expectation of arrests We need your help to make the event a success! Let us know if you want to volunteer. http://bit.ly/J4BLVolunteer If you would like to attend and have questions about accessibility, please contact nikki@jfrej.org
