JFREJ's electoral arm, The Jewish Vote, teams up with the Working Families Party, IfNotNow, and Justice Democrats to support seven Democratic candidates for U.S. Congress who are fighting for a future with Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, fair wages and working conditions for all, an end to mass incarceration and criminalization of people of color, and human rights and democracy in the United States and abroad.

For decades, lobbies and PACs that unquestioningly support the Israeli government convinced most Democrats to look the other way when it came to democracy, equality, and human rights in Israel and Palestine. In recent years, more Democrats — led by progressive Democrats of color, Muslims, and Jews — have demonstrated their independence from these lobbies and PACs and begun to apply the same values that drive us to hold the U.S. government accountable on issues of democracy, equality, and human rights, to the Israeli government as well.

To defeat progressives who dare to hold the Israeli government accountable for its human rights abuses, groups like AIPAC and DMFI are spending millions of dollars on attack ads, driving fear-mongering media coverage. In addition to backing corporate and anti-choice candidates in Democratic primaries, AIPAC is also working to reelect 100 Trump-supporting Republicans in Congress who voted against certifying the 2020 presidential election. Jews across the country and in districts where some of these primary attacks are most blatant are speaking up.

Please note: The Jewish Vote only endorses candidates in New York. Our partners at the Working Families Party have endorsed all seven of the following candidates:

Rana Abdelhamid, NY-11

Brittany Ramos DeBarros, NY-12

Rep. Jamaal Bowman, NY-16

Summer Lee, PA-12

Rep. Andy Levin, MI-11

Nida Allam, NC-04

Jessica Cisneros, TX-28
