Working New Yorkers are being stretched to the breaking point while billionaires get even richer. Meanwhile, ICE kidnaps our neighbors across the state. Albany must tax the rich to fund the affordability agenda New Yorkers need, deserve, and voted for. Albany must deliver sanctuary protections for immigrants across the state by passing New York For All.
On February 25, thousands of New Yorkers will descend on Albany to make them do it. We’re taking over Albany – marching through the streets, rallying outside of the Capitol, lobbying elected officials, and making the demand for a more affordable New York and to fight to protect immigrants across our state.
JFREJ is joining thousands of New Yorkers in Albany for a march and rally to demand a New York we can actually afford. We’re calling on state leaders to tax the rich and invest in the public goods working families need and deserve and to pass New York for all which would provide sanctuary protections for immigrants across the state of New York.
There will be a fleet of buses leaving NYC early in the morning (around 6am) and returning in the evening. More details about the day and transportation will be shared closer to February 25. For now, we need to know who’s ready to show up. Please RSVP only if you truly intend to come, so we can plan transportation and make this moment as powerful as possible.
