Support the family of Kawaski Trawick

Let's come together in solidarity with the family of Kawaski Trawick as they fight for accountability for their son's killing!

JFREJ's partner, the Justice Committee and the coalition our organizations are part of, Communities United for Police Reform (CPR), have been working to support the family of Kawaski Trawick, who was killed by the NYPD in April of 2019 in his own apartment. After three years, we are finally approaching a critical stage in our fight to get NYPD officers Brendan Thompson and Herbert Davis fired for their roles in Kawaski’s avoidable death.

Kawaski’s parents, Mrs. Ellen Trawick, and Mr. Rickie Trawick, have taken off work and are flying to NYC in hopes of building support for their son and their upcoming trial. On October 20th there will be a Court Conference to calendar the date of the officers' trials. Please join us at 1 Police Plaza on October 20th at 1:30pm to support Kawaski's parents as they speak out to demand justice for their son.

Please email sophie@jfrej.org to let us know you're coming!
