JFREJ ran an unprecedented field campaign in 2025 — tying together our electoral fights with the issues that matter most to us, and engaging Jewish New Yorkers on the phone and at the doors.

And, we won!! Zohran Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist, is the 112th Mayor of NYC. The tireless work of hundreds and hundreds of JFREJers, who ran a grassroots program to engage Jewish voters in all five boroughs, had a clear and critical impact on this race. JFREJ members knocked 10,000 doors and made over 80,000 phone calls to Jewish voters. 

Now the work continues as JFREJ continues to champion progressive candidates throughout New York City who will:

• Build an economy that values care, including childcare and homecare.
• Fight for a vision of public safety that invest in communities, not policing and incarceration
• Welcome and protect immigrants.
