Anti-Oppression & LGBTQ 101 Training

Are you seeking to level up your allyship skills while supporting your LGBTQ+ loved ones? Join facilitators from JFREJ and the NYC Anti-Violence Project for a 75-minute training this September for nearly 2 hours of hands-on learning and community building on how to navigate being an LGBTQ+ ally during a challenging time for the community. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the differences between gender, sex, and sexuality; collaborate together to process issues around personal bias and prejudice; and discover ways to build empathy, strengthen communication skills, and unpack the ways in which we are all affected by systems of harm. This training will include a variety of activities and opportunities to engage with your community - we hope to see you there!
