This year, despite the overwhelming support of millions of New Yorkers, Governor Hochul refused to tax the ultra-rich, failed to deliver truly universal childcare with good wages for workers. She also refused to backfill Trump's budget cuts to healthcare, resulting in 450,000 New Yorkers losing healthcare starting July 1. Not only that, but she cut funding from home care, trying to pit care at different stages of life against each other.
Not on our watch.
Join JFREJ's Share the Wealth for Care campaign on August 6th for a teach-in where we'll build solidarity across all ages and stages of life and learn about what it would take to create a truly caring New York: where we have childcare, healthcare, home care, care for people with disabilities and older adults.
