JFREJ is seeking a Data Analyst to collate and analyze the results of a member-wide survey we conducted over the summer.

Dates: September 29 - October 13, 2021 (specific dates are flexible)

Type: Freelance

(Freelancers will be paid on a sliding scale, and are asked to choose a payment level based on their class background and current financial position, including donating their time. If hired, freelancers will be asked to fill out the JFREJ Payment Questionnaire.)

Rate: $25/hr - $150/hr

Reports to: Director of Strategic Communications


Position Description

JFREJ is seeking a Data Analyst to collate and analyze the results of a survey we conducted of our dues-paying members over the summer, and create an accessible presentation of the data. Analysis will include reviewing written responses as well as evaluating the number of selected pre-populated answers to given questions. The Data Analyst would then present the completed analysis to relevant staff at JFREJ. This is a temporary and short-term position. The position is remote; you do not need to be in New York City to apply.


Job Responsibilities

The Data Analyst will be responsible for the following:

  • Interpreting a complex data set with both quantitative and qualitative components;

  • Analyzing results using statistical techniques;

  • Identifying patterns;

  • Presenting it in clear and accessible visuals and descriptions;

Qualifications

Jews For Racial & Economic Justice seeks candidates who are results-oriented, excel at building relationships, and have demonstrated success managing complicated projects. The Data Analyst will have:

  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst;

  • Technical expertise regarding data models and segmentation techniques;

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;

  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
