We are currently seeking a full-time Development and Database Associate to join our dynamic Development team. Reporting to the Development Director, this individual must have a passion for data and fundraising, as well as a high level of attention to detail. This position will support the staff in the development department to use data to move money and build power. This position is truly the backbone of this department.

The salary for this position is $55,000 with an extremely competitive benefit package and generous personnel policies including: 100% employee sponsored premiums for healthcare and additional healthcare spending account, employer 401(k) match, flexible work schedule, 17 holidays a year, 15 vacation days in first year with 12 sick days, family leave benefits that far exceed NYS requirements, and sabbatical leave.

JFREJ staff are currently working remotely and will continue to do so until the COVID-19 pandemic abates. At that time, applicants must be able to work from our New York City office.

Job Responsibilities:

The Development and Database Associate will be responsible for the following:

EveryAction Database

  • Maintains data integrity including
    • De-duping duplicate records
    • Ensuring return addresses are up to date
    • Marking preferences for do not contact
  • Creates Online Forms for donations and events
  • Pulls lists for all emails and mailings
  • Makes sure all gifts loaded into Quick Books are booked in EveryAction
  • Inputs all major gift and foundation funder asks plans into EveryAction
  • Assists other staff with EveryAction sticking points
  • Creates Campaigns, Source Codes, and other “coding” systems for Development

Development

  • Phone banks up to 10 hours a week during peak fundraising season
  • Handwrites envelopes for our three mass mailings
  • Assists in other development tasks as assigned
  • After COVID-19, mails out thank you letters and membership cards to members
  • Reconciles and audits between Quickbooks and EveryAction and gives weekly financial reports to Development Director

Miscellaneous

  • Checks info@jfrej.org account, mail, and voicemail every day
  • Creates all phone banks for Development team
  • Manages list loading and creation of texts in Spoke for all teams as assigned
  • Writes notes to members for celebrations and losses
