Alissa Wise

Alissa is a rising fifth year rabbinical student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia. Before beginning the pursuit to the rabbinate, she worked as a tenant organizer with the Fifth Avenue Committee in Brooklyn and was a participant in AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps. As a rabbinical student she has worked as a chaplain at Planned Parenthood, authored a pastoral counseling curriculum on queer reproductive rights and loss, and was the Education Director at String of Pearls Hebrew School in Princeton, NJ.

Lane Levine

Community Organizer

(Shalom Bayit: Justice for Domestic Workers Campaign)

Lane comes to JFREJ after spending the last eight months as a volunteer
co-chair for the Shalom Bayit campaign.  In his two years in New York, Lanehas worked for the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network where he has
mentored and trained high school students to organize in their communities
across the country to make safer schools for all students.  Lane comes
originally from Owings Mills, Maryland, where he went to Krieger Schechter
Day School and was raised in a loosely practicing Conservative Jewish
family.  Lane is thrilled to be starting this exciting work as Community
Organizer for JFREJ, and can't wait to work with all of the populations (and
more) among which JFREJ organizes for social change.

Katie Goldstein

Katie comes from a radical Christian/Jewish interfaith family and grew up in

Jewish Service Corps working for Tenants and Neighbors as a tenant organizer
in state and federally subsidized housing. She likes to garden, explore the
outermost of the outer boroughs, ride bikes, learn about local history, and
experiment with being an amateur cartographer. She is pumped to be working
at JFREJ as the Community Organizer with the Housing Justice Campaign.
